ILLUSTRATOR #2, Where paper meets fashion - Paperfashion by Katie Rogers

Kathryn Elyse Rodgers is Boston-based illustrator. She was born at Loganville, Georgia and a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University  studying Industrial Design which lead her to focus on fashion. She has a B.F.A. in Industrial Design and after pursuing fashion and apparel design on her own, she realized it was her true passion. Moreover, Kathryn is now eagerly pursuing a career in apparel design. She is currently working as an apparel designer for Reebok in Boston.

Far before that, she spent every summer at Interlochen Arts Camp in Michigan studying cello or Art and one summer at Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire studying art, web design, and music from middle school until the end of high school. Mostly people called her Katie Rodgers. She has dreamt up a fashion blog – Paperfashion since 2009 till now. Paperfashion has been commissioned by companies such as Kate Spade, Coach, OlsenBoye, Lucky Magazine, Nabisco, Penelope and Coco, Rockport, Target, and AKW, just to name a few. She has also been published in Lucky Magazine, ElleGirl, CosmoGirl, The Great Big Book of Fashion Illustration, Fashion Drawing by Michele Wesen Bryant, and many other publications.

She has since been illustrating happy realistic and whimsical fashion all at once, it is her signature style. She has been using a several kinds of mixture media for her artworks which is watercolor, ink pen, sequins,  and Tria makers. Firstly,  she start off in pencil and then go straight into watercolor and finish it off with black ink . I really love how she blends everything into her artpieces by using watercolor and sequins. It looks more realistic and exquisite!

ILLUSTRATOR #1, MEGAN HESS

Megan Hess is a Melbourne-based illustrator inspired by fashion and old-world glamour. She is one of the most famous fashion illustrators in the world, known for illustrating for many major fashion houses such as world’s top fashion designers, publications, department stores and best selling books. She has worked on advertising campaigns for the likes of Bloomingdale’s, Bergdorf Goodman, Chanel, Dior, Tiffany & Co., Yves Saint Laurent, Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Fendi, Ladurée, The Ritz Hotel Paris, Candace Bushnell, Cartier, Laduree, Montblanc, Balenciaga, Guerlain and Paspaley. She has even received a private commission to draw Michelle Obama.

In 2008 Hess illustrated the New York Times number one selling book Sex And The City - written by Candace Bushnell. Hess was graduated from Queensland College of Art, part of Griffith University as Graphic design student. She feels as though it is the closest thing to a 'real job' in the world of art. Upon graduation from university, Hess got her first job with Mojo in Brisbane, which is one of Australia’s high-profile advertising companies. After working several years as an art director in various advertising agencies, Hess packed everything up and moved to London where she worked in a variety of creative jobs. It was in Hess' final job in London, working as the art director for Liberty department store, that made her realize that she had a burning desire to become an artist. Since then, Hess has established herself as one of the worlds most sought after fashion illustrators. Megan’s signature style is sleek, elegant, and glamour with chic modernity. Hess’s signature style can also be found on her bespoke range of silk scarves, cushions and Limited Edition prints sold around the globe. I will just sum up one word about her artworks, EXQUISITE!

#MASTERCHEF

 The winner of season 4 MasterChef was Luca Manfe. He became the first male winner in the MasterChef cooking reality show. In this season, first in history judges hardly decide which one was the best among of the best cause the results were slightly different.

READING

Actually i'm not a good reader. i prefer watching movie than reading novels. It's all about a family that consists of a couple and their young spoiled daughter. They were about to buy a home of their own so that they don’t have to live with her parents anymore. Their young daughter exhibits behavioural problems and seems to be incapable of being controlled by her parents. So that her husband was doubt about having a second child while she wanted to have. So that, she planned to throw a grand surprise party for her husband birthday to persuade about having child again. It turned as what she want but she should accomplish her goal of manage her daughter’s behavior in other to make her husband to reconsider about having a second child and at the end he does.

INDONESIA #1

Here i introduce, Indonesian foods! There are various of foods in the pictures such as Laksa, Indomie, Martabak Telur, Sate Padang and Nasi Padang. You can see the second from the top, it's the famous Indomie hokker in the town and also for the super spicy satay which is one of the most famous satay in the town. Along with the well known Nasi Padang Garuda, highly recommend for people who like spicy food. 

SINGAPORE #4

 I took this picture at the IKEA Swedish food market. People were queuing for their turn to order their foods. Besides of the delicious foods, i found that this food trolley was unique.

SINGAPORE #3

I was very addicted with this called salted-egg chicken i bought from Mega food court at Balestier. It's one of my favourite foods and i highly recommend this to anyone who loves chicken.
