Kerry Hirth experiencing synesthesia, where
the incorporation of information from one side of consciousness occur
simultaneously in the other side. Listening to music, he can decipher the color

SYNESTHESIA #1
This photo was taken by Marcia Smilack. She
walked slowly along the barren dock, waiting for something that she had a
vision to evoke cello sound in her ears or satin shades on her skin. When that
moment happened, she stopped, pointed her camera in the water, and wait to hear
it or feel it again. Then she shoots her picture.
